Judges of the Detroit Felony Court
There are many different judges that handle nothing but criminal cases in Wayne County. Each of these judges has a personality and flair, which we love. The judges in the Detroit felony court are well seasoned, as they try more criminal jury trials than any other judges in Michigan. These judges know the law, understand the facts, and do not play around with lawyers that don’t know what they are doing. For the most part, the judges of the Wayne County Circuit Court are fair and can recognize injustice when it is occurring.
Criminal Jury Trials in the Frank Murphy Court
We have handled many jury trials in the Wayne County Circuit Court and have had some epic victories. Generally, being the most prepared lawyer in the courtroom is a major advantage because we use the same tactics that we use in Federal Court and in the tough state court jurisdictions like Livingston and Oakland County. The prosecutors here are all very experienced, but the juries are also fair and you have a real chance of winning your case, no matter what the underlying facts are. All you need is the courage to go to trial.
